Dietetics students engage in Digital Photostory workshop

On 28 August 2013, 2nd year Dietetics students engaged in an interactive digital photostory training session offered by CIECT. During the training the students were shown how to:
– Storyboard
– Edit image – Resize & crop image
– Add transitions to images
– Add audio
– Import sound track
– Export video for playback on PC

The lecturer, Liezl Cornelissen, emphasised the need for her students to create digital photostories as it will enhance their practical tasks as well as encourage group participation.

“Digital Storytelling is the modern expression of the ancient art of storytelling. Digital stories derive their power by weaving images, music, narrative and voice together, thereby giving deep dimension and vivid colour to characters, situations, experiences, and insights.”- Leslie Rule, Digital Storytelling Association

Colleagues wishing to participate in these sessions are encouraged to register using the iEnabler (on-line registration booking system). Thank you for your support.

NB: Bookings should be done at least two working days in advance.
