Lecturers across faculties engage in an Interactive iKamva Workshop

Lecturers from various Faculties attended an interactive workshop, 11 June 2013: “Create an online environment”. Fourteen (14) lecturers engaged in the Sakai (iKamva) environment, specifically for the use of eTools for teaching-and-learning purposes.

During the training lecturers were able to:
– Create online course and edit course settings;
– Structure and share course material(s);
– Develop a lesson with interactive multi-media components;
– Embed educational youtube video clips; and
– Insert relevant images.

Follow up sessions on how to use communication and eAssessment tools will be offered in July.

The CIECT team encourages Departments to arrange for group training sessions related to the effective use of eTools within the Sakai (iKamva) platform.
